Event description | The Australian 3 Days Orienteering Championships. Friday 30 March is a sprint prologue - Sat 31 March is a middle distance at Lovelybanks E - Sunday 1 April is a long distance at Lovelybanks W - Monday 2 April is a Middle Distance at Redbanks. Times for all 4 days combined for elites - for age classes just the three forest events. |
Terrain description | Friday 30 March is in the grounds of the University of Tasmania, complex buildings with gardens and areas of bushland. - Saturday and Sunday terrain consists of a wooded plateau dissected by deep valleys with extensive rock features. - Monday is in an area of native forest, plantation forest and farmland. |
Training possibilities | Hobart has a number of public orienteering courses in surrounding forest reserves which will be available to competitors. Details will be on the Orienteering Tasmania website from late 2017. |
