Event description | Empire Orienteering Club and Orienteering USA invite you to create your own Adirondack Adventure in New York's beautiful Lake George region. We'll have two days (sprint and long distance) on a new map of Camp Wakpominee (Boy Scout Camp) and one day, with middle-distance and Trail Orienteering, at Moreau Lake State Park, site of the 2010 2-Day Classic Championships and the 2012 Billygoat Race. Team Trials: The U.S. Team has chosen the individual races as their Team Trials. The team to represent the U.S. at the 2013 World Orienteering Championships in Vuokatti, Finland, will be announced after Sunday's event. Please see the Team Trials page for more about Team selection. To make things even more interesting, Team Canada will also use this event as its Team selection race for 2013. Come watch the best racers in North America challenge the southern Adirondack terrain! |
