| Event description | We invite you to participate in the largest 3 day Polish Orienteering Event – XXXI Wawel Cup. As every year we expect about 700 competitors from several countries. A week before JWOC in Slovakia, only 300 km from Kosice, also with lots of limestone cliffs, you can start a similar terrain. Holiday atmosphere will allow you to relax in an active way and experience the specificity of the Jurassic area. We are waiting for you, June 30, 2012. See you in Ogrodzieniec, Poland. |
| Terrain description | The area of XXXI Wawel Cup is a typical Jurassic landscape with plenty of rocks and inselbergs. Every stage is in a different image – the physical features of the terrain vary from smooth to really rough with medium cambers ... Something for everyone:). It is also true for the runability of the forest - from pure beech to a thick one- really green. Even the character of the same rocks at each stage is different -you just must see what it is like personally:). In the gallery we present excerpts of maps of various stages. |

| Holiday activities,nature,hiking etc. | The ruins of a 14th century castle„Ogrodzieniec" at Podzamcze, erected in the reign of Casimir the Great as a seat of the knight\'s family of Włodkowie Sulimczykowie. The stronghold was perfectly embedded in the area; on the three sides, it is sheltered by high rocks and closed with a stone wall. The entrance runs through a natural rock fissure. |
