Terrain description | Hilly, fast running plantation and open hillside - mixed running with some heather and some fast grassland. Moderate to intricate contour detail, much rock and crag detail. Good network of line features - paths, fences, walls, streams etc. |
Training possibilities | There are plenty of areas on Deeside that can be used - contact Jon Musgrave for more information. Maps will cost €2-3 depending on area. If a large group is interested courses and control hanging can be arranged. |
Holiday activities, nature, hiking etc. | Deeside has a wealth of outdoor activities - biking (road and mountain), walking at low level or mountain-tops (1000m+). There are also castles to visit - eg Crathes, Balmoral and a distillery to visit. Many wood and lochs have pleasant walks marked round them - eg Glen Muick, Loch Kinord/Dinnet Moor. |
