Event descriptionEvents *DRAFT* Friday 2nd April 2010 New Zealand Sprint Championship - Roxburgh Tailings (World Ranking Event) Forest sprint using the Roxburgh tailings, which are currently forested. The area is flattish with a few small hills and a reasonable amount of subtle contour that you would expect with gold tailings. The forest is mostly open, fast running. Planner: Tane Cambridge Controller: Bruce McLeod Saturday 3rd April 2010 New Zealand Middle Distance Championship Event - Bannockburn Sluicing (A grade event) Complex area of gold sluicing and tailings. A lot of history right at your feet, but don't stop to admire it; this is Nationals! Reasonably steep and very open. Planner: Bunny Rathbone Controller: Bruce McLeod Sunday 4th April 2010 New Zealand Long Distance Championship Event - Earnscleugh station (A grade event) A rocky map, a little like Mt Ross. Some reasonably steep gullys. Open and fast running, expect long courses on this map. Planner: Barrie Foote Controller: Alan Foote Monday 5th April 2010 New Zealand Relays Championship - Naseby East Used last at the Otago champs 2006 being remapped before nationals. Mainly open, on farmland with patches of forest and scrub, and areas of complex contour detail. Good for spectators. Planner: Nick Mortimer Controller: Myles Thayer
