Event description | This is a week filled with great winter orienteering opportunities. First, the annual three-day Anza-Borrego Desert O-Fest, which includes two classic distances races, a Maze-O among slot canyons, and a Borrego (goat-style event). This all takes place in Southern California, followed by a four day training camp in Tucson, Arizona. Finish off the week with a 2-day classic event in Tucson. |
Terrain description | Mostly desert, complete with saguaro cactus and plants many people have never seen before! Some beautiful, open grassland, too. Elevation ranges from ~300m in California to ~1500m in the Arizona grasslands. |
Holiday activities, nature, hiking etc. | Tucson has endless hiking and trail running possibilities, and there's no shortage of music and art. |
