Event descriptionThis event takes place in the foothills of the Santa Rita mountains of Arizona, at approximately 1500m elevation, in open grasslands with scattered trees. There will be classic distance events on Saturday and Sunday, a sprint Saturday afternoon, and a Trail-O event on Friday afternoon.
Terrain descriptionThe terrain consists of a series of parallel rolling ridges and valleys eroded into gravelly alluvial fan deposits; generally open (tall grass) with scattered oak trees and bushes, sometimes in groves, with smaller patches of thorny thickets and underbrush.
