Event descriptionTraining opportunity for clubs who wants to try new Orienteerings experiences during winter time. I am organising training camps for groups (Car rental, accomodations, food, maps,...) Fontainebleau is the most famous forest area around Paris. It is a sand rocks area with a lot of details. It is nice to run on the clear forest of Fontainebleau. The all Fontainebleau forest (one of biggest in France 280 square km) is covered by orienteering maps. It is also possible to pratice Bouldering (rocks climbing) in the forest. It is always free of snow. The temperature is not cold in the winter. It is fast to reach Paris by train to visit it. Check some maps on the O-france page: http://www.ofrance.free.fr
Terrain descriptionJorgen Rostrup: "Fontainebleau is probably one of the best areas to visit during the winter! You can easily reach 10-15 almost brand new maps within 15 mins of driving. The area might be best known for rock-climbing, but it's suitable for orienteering too! During the wintermonths the runnability is very good and you can run 5 min/km on hard trainings, even if you have to make your way through a really spectacular terrain! I've already been to Fontainebleau two times, and I'll certainly come back!".
