Event descriptionImagine remote wilderness, dramatic landscape, steep mountains that rise out of the sea, majestic fjords, rivers running quietly through untouched green woodlands with views of glaciers high up in the mountains. In these surroundings Bjerkvik IF and BUL-Tromsø invites you to Midnattssolgaloppen 2007, Orienteering in the Midnight Sun Midnattssolgaloppen (MG) is by far the largest orienteering event in Northern Norway. It is in fact one of Norway's biggest o-events. MG has been arranged since 1967. The number of participants has varied, between 2.000 and 750. At MG-07 we expect no less than 1.500 runners from 12-15 nations.
Terrain descriptionMG is famous for it's fabulous terrain and scenary. The arctic nature, with open birch forests and smooth grounds, has conquered the heart of many orienteerers. This year we are proud to announce that the events will be held in probably the best terrain ever. Although the terrain is very runable, the level of technical challenges are high. There are few paths and other guidelines.
Training possibilitiesThere will be training courses available from June 1.
