Event descriptionWe would like to invite you to the heart of the Őrség region in Western Hungary, where we will organize our traditional race named Őrség Cup,which is the larges one of that type in Western Transdanubia. This year’s event will contain two races (middle and long distance).
Terrain descriptionmoderate slopes and complex, detailed network of ditches and valleys. The forest is mostly well runnable with really good visibility, but with dense vegetation at some parts.
Training possibilitiesTraining possibilities upon request. There are 4 new forest maps (one of the last year's WRE race) and one sprint (of the last year's WRE race).
Holiday activities, nature, hiking etc.Őrség mostly features clusters of buildings close together – the so-called “szer” pattern. The centre of Őrség, Őriszentpéter comprises nine such “szer”. Its main attraction is the Romanesque St. Peter’s church. Another relic of the early medieval history of Hungary visitors to the region simply must see is the early Gothic church in Velemér, which boasts the largest surviving medieval mural in the country. It region lures furthermore with its tourist routes, forests for hiking, lakes- untouched nature...
