| Event description | WRE in long distance, Slovenian National Championships in Long Distance, Slovenian National Championships in Relay, 3 regions (Italy-Austria-Slovenia) Championships in Relay, FISO FVG championships in Relay ... | Terrain description | Hard karstic terrain on the map of Martinj hrib (and extended Martinj hrib 2 - new map!). Some green areas, moderate network of paths, many stony features and plenty of contour reading problems. Part of the terrain is more continental and passages between karst and continental parts are very difficult to accept. |
| Training possibilities | 1 day before the event there will be official training at the legendary map of Predgrize (see Orienteering Today 2006/II - map of the issue). After the event trainings will be possible on different karstic terrains - also other maps can be provided. Weekend, following Slovenia open will have 3 more WRE events in the neighbourhood - Italy and Croatia - 2 hour drive from Slovenia Open area. |
