Event descriptionThe world's longest orienteering relay. Mixed teams of 6 runners with at least 2 women, not necessarily of the same club. Runners will rotate 24 hours: after the 6th comes in, the 1st starts again, and so on. Each leg is about 30-70 minutes, but different in length and difficulty. Tactics play an important role. About 100 teams are expected for the 24 hours, and 80 teams for the 12 hours competition, plus some 4 h youth teams. Start/finish, event centre and camping ground are at one central location within large woods. From there, courses go into all directions. This year is the 22nd edition of this traditional bi-annual event.
Terrain descriptionTypical central German moderatly hilly mixed woods.
