Event description | Clube Aventura da Madeira organise the 10th edition of Madeira orienteering Meeting (MOM) which will take place between 19 and 21 of January 2018. The MOM is as a foot orienteering event counting for the Madeira Orienteering Cup offering two courses, middle and long distance, a Night Sprint at Santa Cruz City. |
Terrain description | 19 Jan 2018 – Urban Night Sprint – Santa Cruz City Urban terrain of Santa Cruz City Map: Cidade de Santa Cruz – Terreiros at scale 1/ 3000 20 Jan 2018 – Middle Distance – Santo da Serra, Chão das Aboboreiras Terrain: Forest, more or less clean, open areas, dense vegetation details, reasonable network paths, medium relief. Map: Chão das Aboboreiras at scale 1/ 7500 and 1/5000 21 Jan 2018 – Long Distance Montado do Pereiro at scale 1/7.500 Terrain: mostly of pine and hardwoods forest, more or less clean, alternating with some open areas, dense vegetation details, reasonable network paths, medium to high relief. |

Besides Orienteering, walking, diving, canyoning, mountain biking and the Sea tours are some experience not to be missed and which enable visitors to explore the island. |
