Event descriptionO-Ringen is the world’s largest orienteering adventure with around 20 000 participants from 40 different nations. In the Elite tour world elite runner compete and for all others there is over 100 different classes from MW10 to MW95 and 20 different courses to choose from each day. Entry stop as of 1 of April (-20%), 1 June (Ordinary) and the until 22 July (+20%).
Terrain descriptionEach day will have its own characteristics in course settings and terrain. The area offer forest were you will experience wilderness. The terrain includes orienteering in detailed slopes and challenging verges. They will give you both interesting choices of path and nice views. At oringen.se each stage is described with pictures and maps.
Training possibilitiesOld maps and training courses are available via oringen.se A training race were you can get a feeling for the maps and terrain is held Friday July 21:st. More info on oringen.se
Holiday activities,nature,hiking etc.City of Arvika and province Värmland offer great many activities. You will find wild and beautiful forests and several lakes were you can bath. Värmland is also famous for it's many writers as Selma Lagerlöf who won the Noble prize in 1906.
