Terrain descriptionThe middle and long distance events will be held in the rocky bushveld terrain of B’sorah Farm. Traditionally a trail running and mountain biking venue, B’sorah has a number of rocky koppies, small river valleys and grassy and savannah areas. It is currently used for cattle farming, but is also a haven for wildlife. Jacka;, duiker, impala, warthog, kudu, nyala and waterbuck are all found in the area, which is also rich in bird life. The areas used for the middle and long distance events will not overlap. The relay will be held at Le Godimo Horse Trail, a horse eventing location just to the east of the Van Gaalens Cheese Farm. The area is generally flat and grassy. Mowed paths create an interesting network of open areas amongst the bushveld vegetation. A number of horse jumps appear as special features.
Training possibilitiesNo specific training events are planned. Consult the Gauteng Orienteering Calendar on There are a number of similar bushveld maps in the area and arrangements can be made for foreign visitors to obtain the maps. Please contact the organisers for further details
