Event descriptionMOC has always offered sprint races in extraordinary cities for their culture, art, charm and tradition. Cities that could also offer the high quality of orienteering (like Matera, Palermo, Bari, Lecce and Roma) and during MOC we put together also the great Italian kitchen tradition, the warmth of hospitality, the atmosphere with music, local culture and folklore, the big parties in a few words: a lot of fun. In order to celebrate the tenth anniversary of MOC we choose the city of Florence. The city is worldwide famous for its artistic jewels, its UNESCO heritage, considered by Forbes as one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and famous for fashion (see Firenze Pitti). MOC Prize Money: The three best runners overall in the classes M21 and W21: 1st place: 300; 2nd place: 200; 3rd place: 100.
Terrain descriptionThe 1st race is a mix of city park and city center, the 2nd stage is a pine forest next to the sea coast line and finally the 3rd stage which will be in the city of Florence.
Training possibilitiesPWT MOC Sprint Camp 2014 PWT Italia welcomes all the elite runners and top juniors to the 4th MOC Sprint Camp with head coach Janne Salmi (former Orienteering World Champion). Preliminary Program: Sunday to Wednesday, March 9th to 12th in the Venice area:3 sprint-trainings + 1 forest-training + 2 sprint-races (coaching and courses by Janne Salmi) Maximum numbers of participants at the MOC Sprint Camp: 100 runners.
Holiday activities,nature,hiking etc.The MOC 2014 event centre will be in Montecatini which is famous for thermal areas, high fashion, one of the best spots in the Tuscany region!
