| Event description | IK Auseklis and SAA Magnets invite you to 2days of fun orienteering in the exciting terrains of the region of Riga. The Riga cup is growing in popularity year by year among both Latvian and foreign orienteers. With its status as a WRE event for the first time we expect around 700 to 800 people will take part in this 2 day event. |
| Terrain description | Mainly pine tree forest with many tracks and paths. Detailed karst terrain with runability from good to average. |
| Training possibilities | A week long training camp will be organized from 16.04.to 22.04. - including trainings on varied terrain, 3 Magnets training competitions and the Riga cup in the end of the week. If interested in training any other time of the year Magnets organize training competitions in the region of Riga 2 to 3 times a week all year around. More information and event calendar can be found on Magnets website. |
| Holiday activities,nature,hiking etc. | The event center is in Baldone, a small town only 30min drive away from Riga, the capital of Latvia and also oldest and largest city in the Baltic states. It's historical center is included in UNESCO World Heritage List and is definitely worth visiting. |
