Holiday activities, nature, hiking etc.The picturesque city of Baden is well known for its thermal springs and its spa area, but also for a rich cultural life with many museums etc. In its surroundings, many historical places of interest can be found: From Roman ruins (amphitheatre) over several medieval castles (e.g. Habsburg Castle, origin of the Austrian Emperors) to witnesses of the age of industrialisation. Or you can simply go hiking over lovely hills to one of the magnificent look-outs in the area. And last but not least: Baden is only 4 hours away from Chambery and the WOC 2011!
