Event description5 day individual international orienteering competition, final result calculated based on combined time over 5 days. Chasing start on the final day for categories M/W14B, 16B, 18B, 20E and 21E. Days 2 and 4 are IOF World Ranking Events
Terrain descriptionThe terrain for both Middle and Long days is mainly characterised by granite rock formations, deep valleys, rapidly changing runnability, large areas of open forest and dense vegetation mazes. The latest orienteering competitions on these areas were held in 2007 on Ingókő and 1996 on Meleg-hill, hence all maps are prepared from scratch. The terrain for the sprint competition on day 3 (Sukoró Arboretum) have different characteristic. Here, the very rapidly changing runnability, dense vegetation in many places and intricate detail provides a good basis for a typical forest sprint competition
Training possibilitiesWe provide model events on the two days prior to the competition next to Csákvár, in the form of fixed courses. These courses can be visited any time of the day on the 17th or 18th August. More details regarding these model events will be published closer to the competition.
